التقى الباحث خالد عوض، رئيس التجمع الأرشيفي الفلسطيني، بالسيد منتصر ادكيدك، مدير جمعية برج اللقلق المجتمعي، في لقاء تعارفي ناقش خلاله الطرفان سبل التعاون المشترك. وتمحور اللقاء حول الآليات التي يمكن تطويرها لتعزيز العمل الأرشيفي والمجتمعي في المستقبل، حيث أكد الجانبان على أهمية تبادل الخبرات والتنسيق في المشاريع القادمة. جدير بالذكر أن جمعية برج اللقلق المجتمعي هي مؤسسة وطنية غير ربحية تأسست في 10 ديسمبر 1991، وتقدم خدماتها لسكان البلدة القديمة في القدس، لا سيما في حي باب حطة. وتمتد الجمعية على مساحة 9 دونمات، مما يجعلها ثاني أكبر بناء داخل البلدة القديمة بعد المسجد الأقصى.
In a special and meaningful tour organized in collaboration with Zochrot, we returned once again to the displaced village of Saffuriyya. Among the participants was Mohammad Barakeh (Abu Al-Saeed), an elder and original resident of Saffuriyya, along with Mr. Subhi Abu Salah, Mr. Kamel Barghouthi, and a diverse group of Palestinian and Jewish participants who share a firm belief in the Right of Return for Palestinians. The group was guided by Mr. Omar Agbaria from Zochrot. At the end of the tour, a Jewish educator accompanying the group read a translated poem by the late poet from Saffuriyya,Taha Muhammad Ali, in both Arabic and Hebrew. In addition, Palestinian folk poet Kamal Aloush recited a powerful line of Ataba poetry, which was warmly received by all participants. Representing Al-Sibbat Association, the delegation included board member Kamal Aloush, Khaled Za’roura, and Nancy Jargoura And finally, let it be said loud and clear: The Right of Return is legitimate, sacred, legal — and possible.
We at Al-Sibbat Association had the pleasure of hosting the Forum of Arab Civil Society Organizations and the Forum of Arab Cultural Associations, With the participation of Attorney Nidal Othman, President of the Forum of Arab Cultural Associations, and Ms. Samar Bassiouni, Program Coordinator at the Forum, Al-Sibbat Association for the Preservation of Culture and Heritage in Nazareth hosted the final meeting of the training course "Media and Marketing for Civil Society Organizations", organized by the Forum of Arab Civil Society Organizations and the "Forum of Arab Cultural Associations", in partnership with the I’lam Media Center. The meeting opened with a lecture titled "Images and Graphic Requirements", delivered by media professional Maysoun Zoubi As part of the field session and tour of historical landmarks in the Old City of Nazareth, Khaled Awad, Director of Al-Sibbat Association and a researcher and historian specializing in the history of Nazareth, led a guided tour during which participants learned about some of the city's key historical sites. The meeting concluded with a summary of the training course and the distribution of certificates to the participants who took part in the program.
